Astrophotography
As the name implies, astrophotography is
basically photography of astronomical
objects. Since many people find the
night skies so beautiful, it is natural
that the idea of astrophotography
appeals to many as an exciting venture.
What's Required?
Depending on the types of objects that
the astrophotographer wants to capture
in his photos, this can be a form of
photography that has quite high
technical requirements for one to be
able to successfully practise it, though
some of the easier objects can be
photographed reasonably well with
regular digital cameras and without a
great deal of special know-how. At the
other extreme, there are the technical
complexities of liquid-cooled CCD
cameras, robotically controlled
telescopes, and images enhanced by
computers.
